Monnit's Alta Ethernet and Cellular Gateways are the core of the Alta remote monitoring system. The Alta Gateway uses either Ethernet/Internet or cellular communication to relay wireless sensor data back to the cloud service or software. Each location requires one or more gateways that act as receivers for the sensors. The gateways then communicate with the cloud or software. Cellular gateways require a cellular SIM and service. All gateways require a cloud account and subscription, or local software with license.
