Description
The Monnit Next Humidity Sensor measures relative humidity based on a user-configurable heartbeat time interval.
When measuring, the sensor momentarily energizes a hygroscopic polymer film in series with a dielectric isolator whose dielectric constant varies when it is subjected to change in humidity. The sensor converts the difference between these two layers into an analog voltage signal, changing it to a digital value which calculates the relative humidity. This measurement is then sent to the iMonnit Software through Wi-Fi.
